I was listening to this old song by Louis Armstrong when I drive my kids back from school today. I feels very relax and peaceful when I listen to his voice, very powerful and unique in anyway. His voice is very comforting. It's like someone we are very close singing to us. I like this song very much...

Ya, I have been slow in updating my blog this few days ~ blink* blink*... my hubby is home ~ lol. But, he'll left for work in Hanoi again this Wednesday and we'll be going to apart again for another one or two months and I'll be miss him again for sure. Since he is back home, I just want to spent more time with him and less online to read blogs and write/update my blog.

Japanese 'O-bento'

How would you feel if your loved one (mommy or wife) prepared a lunch box (bento) like this for you??? For me, I sure won't eat it untill I was really hungry,..not that it taste bad, but it's too cute to be eaten. I hope to make this cute bento for my kids too..^^ They are cute! Kids Tale . . . . .

One day while I was sending my 2 princess to ballet class, I heard my elder daughter Jou Nin whispered..."don't tell mommy ya" to Xin Nin. Then I asked Xin Nin, what's "jie jie" (sister) talk to you?? But, her sister insist her not to tell me, so she said nothing,..nothing!!~ and . . . .>>>

Guess what?? the next day when I go to fetch her after school, she came to me crying and her school uniform are wet. I asked her what happened?? She refuse to tell me anything until we reached home. After asking her for few times only she reveal that she is scared of ghost in the toilet. She told me, Toilet got ghost!!!.. Jou Nin had tell her a ghost story the day before and she really believe and scared of it.

She said there is a lady who went in the toilet and suddenly the door closed and locked by itself, then the water keep on flushed by itself and flush the woman into the toilet bowl...huh~ lol ... like that also can?? damn funny ghost story but, worst is...Xin Nin totally believe that it's real and dare not go to toilet and end up wet her school uniform ... until now she still scare going to toilet alone although I told her that the ghost doesn't exist and it's just a story.. how ah?? I have to ask her teacher to let her friend accompany her to toilet... duh!! ~ macam-macam *wipe my sweat!!*

My New Look

I was in salon today for hair rebonding. I've been with the curly long hair for more than 2 years and I think it's time for me to get some changes. At first, I wanted to straighten and cut my hair short (the short bob,..I love it!). But after the rebonding my hair look very flat and it will not look nice if I cut it short now.

The hairstylist advise me to wait another 3 months before I go for the shorter hairstyles. By the time my hair already grown out and it won't be that flat anymore. I permed and dyed it too often ~*duh* My hair are very dry, damaged and got splits end. The hairstylist trimmed away 3 inch of my hair ~*sob* before he do the rebonding for me. So now, I'm a happy mommy with smooth and silky, shorter hairstyles ~ *love it!!!* ...yeah ~

This is one pic of my latest look...hehe~ Trying to act CUTE (have you all seen "lau ee" act cute???) I just realise that I really bad in taking self-potrait. I was totally out of compo and most of the pics turn out blur as I switch off the flash..I don't like flash in pictures... hehe~ Yeah!! this pic is specially dedicated to my friend HELEN.

These are the 10 things that recently made me happy

1. With the life I’ve got today, that I’m still alive and breathing.


2. Everybody is in good health ~ this is the most important...


3. Finally I got myself the lens I've longed for so long, the Canon 70-200f2.8L yeepee~


4. Seeing my hubby working real hard in Vietnam, although I miss him very much.


5. When I look back at the old pictures and realise that all my 3 kids have really grown up (I miss their cute baby face)


6. To cook for my family and watch them eating happily.


7. My husband is back home soon... Can't wait to see him this Tuesday, he is in KL now.


8. I started to earn some pocket money from my photography hobby.


9. I get to know a group of nice friends in DailyLifeStyles.com which is really crazy and funny.


10. That I got enough food to eat, got enough clothes to wear, got my own car, a comfortable house to stay, got enough money to spent (although I still have many things in my wishlist, hehe~) & lastly, been able to online to chat and to blog. I really feel blessed, thank Buddha!

Nyonya Bubur Cha Cha Dessert

This morning when I was in the market suddenly I think of cooking this 'Bubur Cha Cha' dessert. I called it 'Nyonya Bubur Cha Cha' because I replace the sugar with the gula melaka (palm sugar which is originated from Melaka)


Here is the recipe for this yummy dessert ^^

250g sweet potatoes, cut into small diamond shapes
250g yam, cut into small diamond shapes
80g black-eyed beans (peh tau)
some pearl sago

300gm gula melaka
250ml water
3 pandan leaves, knotted

Thin coconut milk :
800gm grated coconut
1500ml boiled water

Method:

Steam the sweet potatoes and yam for 10 minutes until it's soft.
Steep the black-eyed beans for 1 - 1 1/2 hrs. Simmer till tender then rise in cold water and remove any detached skin. Boil the beans till it turn soft.
Put the coconut milk to cook over medium heat with the gula melaka and pandan leaves. Cook till the gula melaka dissolved and add in the pearl sago and cool till it turn transparent. Lastly add in the potatoes, yam and beans.

Ta Daa...here is the Nyonya Bubur Cha Cha ^.^

• Honey called me on 7.45pm today from the airport...ya, he had reached KL but not coming back to Alor Star yet. He wanted to meet Darren first. He called me again on 9pm and told me he'll be going to office to meet Darren. He'll follow my father in-law's car back as my father in-law will sent my mom in-law and Aei Ween to KL on Monday. I really hope to see him soon. He left home to Vietnam on 24th February and it's already one month that I didn't see him other than on webcam. I miss him...
• My son will have his mandarin speech competition on this Monday. Beside monitor my youngest daughter on her homework, I have to check her school bag everyday to see if she got any ejaan, spelling or 听写. I feel that what have been teach by their teacher now are very difficult compare with what we study last time. Imagine, just in Std 1 they already have to do the "Bina Ayat", "造句" and etc..macam-macam, duh!
• Today I find out some of the fish in my aquarium was affected by fungus. Maybe, it's the water was too dirty or the temperature of my aquarium are too low. After get the water changed, I add in some medicine on it. I see they are getting better now.

Chocolate Gift

Going out of idea what to buy for your loved one, friends and relative? Valentine's Day, Birthday or Anniversary? Just get them a box of chocolate. It's always be the best gift for friends and relatives. How sweet ya... When I went travel, my youngest daughter will always remind me to buy her the Kit Kat Minis (chocolate covered wafer stick) for her which is her favourite and I like some of the chocolate with whisky inside. Taste real nice ^.^

My neighbour is back from their Hong Kong tour today and guess what they've got me?? hehehe... omg,.. is Belgian seashells chocolates... Thank you!!

Lunch At KFC

Today, I bring my kids, my parents and my maid together with my father & mother in-law, my sisters in-law, Aei Ween & Su Fen and my nieces and nephew having our lunch at KFC, Alor Star Mall to celebrate my son's birthday. Here is some pics to share..
